Join us for our 2025 Wave Warrior Beach Workout & Master Classes!
Welcome to the site of the U.S. Yoshukai Karate of Georgia dojo located in Midway, GA. Established in 2021, our dojo has been serving the Midway community through support of public events, exhibitions, self-defense classes, and the transformation of our students into disciplined and respectful citizens. We welcome students of all ages (6+) and abilities. We pride ourselves in providing an environment where all students have the opportunity to learn.
Please join us for our beach workout on April 12th, 2025 at 9:00AM followed by master classes in the afternoon (1-4pm). Students will have the opportunity to participate in various karate activities on the beach, a workout in the water, and participation in classes from some of the great instructors in our USYKA Family and our local Martial Arts Community at the Golden Isles YMCA! There will be a break for lunch and travel to the YMCA from 11am-12:50pm. Participants are responsible for costs associated with lunch and travel.
With this being our first year, this will be a semi-closed event open only to USYKA students and the students of our guest instructors. Not in either one of those categories? Keep in eye out for our 2026 dates!
All individuals participating will be required to sign a waiver at the beach for the host dojo and a waiver at the YMCA for use of their facility. Participants younger than 18 years of age will need a waiver signed by their parent/guardian. Cost for this event is $50 and includes the beach workout, the classes in the afternoon, and (for pre-registration only by April 5th, 2025) a U.S. Yoshukai patch shirt for association members or a Wave Warriors event t-shirt for participants from other styles. Beach workout Uniform: Please wear black loose fitting shorts (like basketball shorts) and your event t-shirt (provided upon arrival, bathroom facilities available to change). If you missed pre-registration, please just wear a solid black t-shirt and the black loose fitting shorts. Participants are welcome to wear their swimsuits under this uniform as we will be training in the water!
Afternoon classes uniform: Please wear your Gi or other associated uniform used by your instructor, style, or association. We will be in a gymnasium for these classes.
